The first session is an opportunity to talk about what brings you to therapy and what you would like support with. It is also a chance for us to get to know each other and see whether working together feels right for you.

Individual psychotherapy sessions last approximately 50 minutes.
How often would I need to attend?
Sessions are usually held weekly or fortnightly, depending on your needs and what feels appropriate for you. The frequency of sessions can be discussed and adjusted together as your needs change.

There is no fixed length of therapy. This depends on your needs, goals and the issues you wish to explore. We can regularly review the process together.
What can I talk about in therapy?
You can bring whatever feels important to you into therapy. This may include life challenges but you can also bring thoughts, feelings, experiences or concerns that may be difficult to put into words. Whatever feels meaningful to you can be explored together.
Do I need to know what to talk about?
Not at all. You do not need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. We can begin with whatever feels most present for you.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes. Confidentiality is an important part of psychotherapy. Information shared in sessions is treated with respect and confidentiality, within the professional and legal limits that apply to psychotherapy.
Can I opt for online sessions?
Sessions are offered both in-person and online.
What language are sessions offered in?
Sessions are offered in both Maltese and Engish.
